What We Shipped in January (and What's Coming Next)

October 23, 2026·by Lumo

Hey everyone,

We've been heads-down shipping features this month, and I wanted to give you a quick rundown of what's live, what's working, and what we're still figuring out.

The Big One: 10% Flat Commission

We dropped our commission to 10% across the board. No tiers, no hidden fees, no "plus processing" asterisks. Whether you're delivering groceries, listing a couch, or offering handyman services—it's 10%.

Why? Because 25-30% platform cuts are honestly absurd. We're profitable at 10%, and we'd rather grow with you than squeeze every dollar out upfront. The math is simple: if you succeed, we succeed.

Escrow That Actually Works

Payment anxiety is real on both sides. Buyers worry they'll get ghosted. Sellers worry they won't get paid.

Our new escrow system holds funds when someone books or buys, then auto-releases to your bank account 24 hours after delivery or pickup—unless there's a dispute. No waiting a week. No contacting support to release your own money.

It's not perfect yet (we're still smoothing out edge cases for custom gigs), but early feedback has been solid.

Same-Day Delivery from Anyone

This one's been fun. You can now offer same-day delivery for anything—restaurant meals, retail orders, that desk you're selling on marketplace, whatever.

We're not trying to compete with Uber Eats or DoorDash on their turf. We're just making it stupid-easy for any seller or individual to offer delivery without needing a logistics team. Our courier network handles the rest.

A florist in Oakland used it last week to deliver 40 arrangements for a corporate event. A college student delivered his old textbooks across town the same afternoon he listed them. It's flexible, and we like that.

Stripe Payouts Go Live

You can now get paid directly to your bank account via Stripe. Fast, reliable, and you can track everything in your dashboard. We'll be adding more payout options soon (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App are on the list), but Stripe was the obvious first step.

Real Estate + Autos Are Here

We added full marketplaces for real estate and auto listings. List your apartment, sell your car, or browse what's available—all with the same escrow protection and low fees.

Are we going to replace Zillow and Craigslist overnight? No. But we think there's room for a simpler, safer alternative that doesn't feel like navigating a 2005 website or dodging scams.

AI Ad Studio (Beta)

This one's experimental. We built an AI tool that generates ad images and copy for your listings in about 30 seconds. You upload a photo, tell it what you're selling, and it spits out a decent-looking ad.

It's in beta, and honestly, some of the outputs are weird. But when it works, it works really well—especially for people who don't have time to fuss with Canva or write product descriptions from scratch.

What's Next?

We're working on in-app messaging (shocking that it's taken this long, I know), better search filters, and a referral program that actually rewards you for spreading the word.

Also exploring subscriptions for power users—unlimited featured listings, priority support, that kind of thing. Still early, but we're listening.

One Last Thing

Thanks for sticking with us. We're a small team trying to build something useful, and every listing, delivery, and sale helps us get a little better.

If something's broken or confusing, hit us up. We read every message.

If you've been thinking about listing that couch, offering your design services, or finally selling that car—now's a good time. The platform's getting better every week, and we'd love to have you.
