Accra: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid

The Job Search Struggle Is Real

If you've been looking for work in Accra lately, you already know how hard it is. You send applications, you wait, and when opportunities do come, the pay often doesn't match the effort. Meanwhile, you have skills right now—driving through city traffic, lifting heavy loads, assembling furniture—that people need help with every single day.

The truth is, your time and labor are worth more than most jobs are offering. What if you could put those existing skills to work today, set your own hours, and actually keep most of what you earn?

Three Ways to Start Earning on Lumo

Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with people in Accra who need reliable help. You choose which jobs to accept, work when it suits you, and keep 90% of what you earn. Here's the kind of work available:

• Delivery: Transport food, groceries, and packages across the city by car, bike, or scooter. Perfect if you know Accra's neighborhoods and have reliable transport.
• Moving help: Load trucks, carry furniture, and assist with small moves. Ideal if you're comfortable with physical work and have a strong back.
• Furniture assembly: Put together beds, desks, shelves, and flat-pack furniture for homes and offices. Great for anyone who's handy with tools and can follow instructions.

You're not locked into any job type—accept the ones that fit your schedule and skills.

Every job you complete pays out the same day. No waiting weeks for a paycheck. And right now, Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors in Accra. Complete your first 100 jobs and you'll earn a loyalty bonus of 1,170 GHS (about $100 USD) on top of your regular earnings.
