Budapest: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid
The Job Market Doesn't Reflect What You Can Do
Anyone looking for work in Budapest right now knows how frustrating it is. You send applications, hear nothing back, or find positions that pay far less than the effort they demand. Meanwhile, you already know how to do things people need: you can navigate the city, you know how to clean properly, you're reliable with errands and deliveries.
Those skills are worth real money. The problem isn't you—it's that too many jobs underpay the people who actually do the work.
Lumo is building something different: a marketplace where you choose the jobs, set your own hours, and keep 90% of what you earn. We're recruiting 300 contractors across Budapest right now, and jobs open as soon as local customers start posting them.
Three Types of Work, You Decide What Fits
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you know the city and have reliable transportation, delivery work lets you move at your own pace. You see the job details and payment before accepting anything.
Laundry pickup: collect, wash, fold and return laundry for busy neighbors Perfect if you're detail-oriented and have access to a washer and dryer. Help people who don't have time or facilities, and earn well for work that's straightforward and predictable.
Home cleaning: apartments, homes and move-out cleans Budapest is full of busy households and people moving between flats who need reliable cleaning help. If you're thorough and take pride in leaving a space spotless, this work suits you.
You're never locked into one type. Accept the jobs that make sense for your day.
