Cape Town: Turn the Skills You Already Have Into Real Income on Lumo
You Already Have What It Takes
Finding decent work in Cape Town right now shouldn't be this hard. You know how to drive across town, lift heavy furniture, or get someone back on the road when they're stranded—but too many jobs underpay for skills like these. Lumo is building a marketplace where your everyday abilities finally earn what they're worth.
We're recruiting 300 contractors across Cape Town to take on local jobs when they're ready. You choose the work, set your hours, keep 90% of what you earn, and get paid the same day. No shifts, no boss looking over your shoulder—just fair pay for good work.
Three Ways to Earn
Lumo has real variety, and you decide which jobs to accept:
- Delivery: Move food, groceries, and packages across the city by car, bike, or scooter. If you know the neighborhoods and can navigate traffic from Sea Point to Khayelitsha to Claremont, you're already qualified.
- Moving help: Load trucks, carry furniture, assist with small moves. Physical work that pays what it should, and you take only the jobs that fit your day.
- Roadside assistance: Jump-starts, flat-tire changes, lockouts, fuel drop-offs. If you've helped a friend or family member on the side of the road, you can do this—and get paid fairly for it.
Every job is local. Your neighbors, families getting groceries home before load-shedding hits, someone moving into a new flat—they need help, and they'll pay properly for it.
