Cape Town: Keep 90% of What You Earn – Your Skills Are Worth More
You're Worth More Than You're Being Paid
Finding decent work in Cape Town right now feels impossible. Too many jobs pay too little, take too much of your time, or keep most of what customers actually pay. If you can drive across town, help someone with their errands, or fix things around the house, those skills have real value – and you should be the one earning it.
Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with people who need local help. The difference? You keep 90% of what the customer pays. No hidden cuts, no waiting weeks for your money. You get paid the same day, you choose which jobs to accept, and you set your own schedule.
Right now, Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors across Cape Town to be ready as jobs start coming in. The first 100 who complete 100 jobs earn a loyalty bonus of 1,660 ZAR (about $100 USD).
Three Ways to Earn on Your Terms
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you've got reliable transport and know your way around the city, delivery work lets you move at your own pace. Accept the jobs that make sense for your route and your day.
Errands: pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line and shopping trips People need help with everyday tasks – picking up prescriptions, handling returns, standing in queues, running to the shops. It's straightforward work that fits around your life.
Handyman repairs: mounting TVs, fixing doors, patching walls and small repairs If you're good with your hands and tools, small repair jobs are always in demand. Homeowners and renters need TVs mounted, doors adjusted, walls patched, and dozens of other fixes.
You Decide What Your Time Is Worth
Every job shows what the customer is paying. You see it upfront, and you decide whether to accept it. No surprises, no wage theft, no one else taking the lion's share.
- Set your own hours and work when it suits you
- Keep 90% of every rand you earn
- Get paid the same day you complete the job
- Choose the jobs and neighborhoods that work for you
Your skills matter. Your time matters. It's time you were paid like it.
