Chennai: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid
The Job Search Doesn't Have to Mean Starting Over
If you've been looking for work in Chennai, you already know how tough it is right now. Too many positions want experience you don't have, or they're offering wages that don't match the effort. But here's what most people miss: the skills you already use every day—driving through Anna Nagar traffic, running errands in T. Nagar, knowing your way around Velachery—are worth real money right now.
Lumo is a marketplace that connects people in Chennai with locals who can help with everyday jobs. You choose when you work, which jobs you take, and you keep 90% of what you earn. No shifts you didn't ask for, no manager looking over your shoulder. Just you, your skills, and customers who need help.
Three Ways to Start Earning This Week
Lumo is currently bringing on 300 independent contractors in Chennai. Here's the kind of work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you have a vehicle and know the city, you're already qualified. Pick up orders and drop them where they need to go. You decide which deliveries to accept based on distance and pay.
Errands: pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line and shopping trips Perfect if you're organized and don't mind being out and about. Customers need someone reliable to handle tasks they can't get to—picking up prescriptions, returning items, standing in queue, or grocery runs.
Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway If you're thorough and take pride in a job well done, this pays well. You bring supplies, work at the customer's location, and earn more per job than most car wash employees see in a day.
You Get Paid the Same Day
Every job you complete pays out within hours, not weeks. And right now, finish your first 100 jobs and Lumo adds a 9,518 INR loyalty bonus (about $100 USD)—on top of what you've already earned.
You don't need a resume or an interview. You need a phone and the skills you already have. Apply on Lumo today and start earning what your work is actually worth.
