Durban: Get Paid What You're Worth, The Same Day You Work

Finding Fair Pay Shouldn't Be This Hard

Too many people in Durban are working hard but not earning what their time and effort are actually worth. Whether you're commuting across the city for shifts that barely cover costs, or juggling jobs that pay weeks late, you know the frustration. You already have valuable skills—driving, caring for animals, managing household tasks—and those skills deserve fair, immediate pay.

Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with neighbors who need help. You choose the jobs, set your own schedule, keep 90% of what you earn, and get paid the same day you complete the work. No waiting for payroll. No wondering if your effort will be recognized. Just fair pay for honest work.

The Work You Choose

Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors in Durban right now. Here's the kind of work available:

• Delivery: Transport food, groceries, and packages across Durban by car, bike, or scooter. Perfect if you know the roads—from the Berea to Umhlanga to the Bluff—and want flexible hours that fit around your life.

• Laundry Pickup: Collect laundry from busy neighbors, wash and fold it, then return it. Suits anyone reliable and detail-oriented who can manage time well.

• Pet Care: Dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in visits for people who work long hours or travel. Ideal if you're good with animals and want work that feels rewarding.

You decide which jobs to accept. Every single one.

You're in Control

On Lumo, you're not locked into shifts or quotas. You work when it suits you, doing jobs that match your skills and schedule. And as a thank you for joining early, complete your first 100 jobs and you'll earn a loyalty bonus of 1,664 ZAR (about $100 USD).

Your time and skills have real value. It's time you were paid accordingly—today, not next month.
