Durban: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You Think – Start Earning Today

Finding Work Shouldn't Be This Hard

If you've been searching for work in Durban, you know how tough it is right now. Applications go unanswered, interviews lead nowhere, and too many jobs pay far less than the effort they demand. But here's what most people don't realize: the skills you already use every day—driving through town, lifting heavy things, helping family with tech problems—are worth real money right now.

Lumo is a marketplace that connects people in Durban with neighbors who need help with everyday jobs. You're not applying for a single position. You're joining a platform where you choose the work that fits your life, set your own schedule, and keep 90% of every rand you earn. You get paid the same day, and you're finally compensated for what your time and effort are actually worth.

Three Ways to Start Earning

Lumo is looking for 300 independent contractors in Durban, and the work breaks down into three main categories:

• Delivery: Transport food, groceries, and packages across Durban by car, bike, or scooter. Perfect if you know the roads and like staying mobile. You decide which delivery jobs to accept.
• Moving help: Load trucks, carry furniture, and assist with small moves. Great for anyone who's strong, reliable, and doesn't mind physical work. Choose the jobs that suit your schedule.
• Tech help: Set up Wi-Fi, TVs, printers, and phones for people who need a hand with technology. If you're the person friends call when something won't connect, this is for you. Accept the jobs you're comfortable with.

Every job is one you choose to accept. You're never locked into anything.

Earn a Loyalty Bonus

Complete your first 100 jobs and Lumo pays you a 1,662 ZAR bonus (about $100 USD). That's on top of what you've already earned. It's designed to reward the contractors who show up and do solid work.
