Durban: Get Paid What You're Worth, Same Day You Work
Finding Fair Work in Durban Shouldn't Be This Hard
If you live in Durban and you've been looking for work that actually pays what your time and effort are worth, you're not alone. Too many people are working hard and getting underpaid for it. The truth is, the skills you already have—whether you can drive across town, run errands for busy families, or make a car look brand new—are valuable. You shouldn't have to wait weeks for a paycheck or settle for wages that don't match the work you put in.
Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with local customers who need help. You choose the jobs you want, set your own schedule, keep 90% of what you earn, and get paid the same day you complete the work. No waiting, no surprises—just fair pay for real work.
Three Ways to Earn on Your Own Terms
Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors in Durban right now. Jobs open as customers post them, and you decide which ones to accept. Here's the kind of work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you've got reliable transport and know your way around Durban—from the Berea to Umhlanga, down to the Bluff—delivery work lets you earn on your own schedule. Accept the orders that make sense for you.
Errands: pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line and shopping trips People need help with everyday tasks: picking up prescriptions, dropping off returns, standing in queues, running to the shops. If you're organized and dependable, errands are steady work that fit into your day.
Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway If you're good with your hands and take pride in a job well done, mobile detailing pays well. You bring the service to the customer's home, and they pay you what the work is worth.
