Ibadan: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid
The Job Search Is Exhausting—But You Already Have What It Takes
If you've been looking for work in Ibadan, you know how frustrating it can be. Applications go unanswered. Wages don't match the effort. Too many opportunities waste your time or underpay your skills.
Here's the truth: the abilities you already have—driving through Lagos Road traffic, changing a tire, detailing a car until it shines—are worth real money. You shouldn't have to beg for a fair chance to use them.
Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with people in Ibadan who need help with everyday jobs. You choose the work that suits you, set your own hours, and keep 90% of what you earn. You get paid the same day, and you're finally in control of what your time is worth.
Three Ways to Start Earning
Lumo is currently recruiting 300 contractors in Ibadan. Here's the kind of work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you have a reliable vehicle and know your way around Bodija, Ring Road, and the rest of Ibadan, delivery work lets you earn on every trip. You see each job offer before you accept it, so you decide what makes sense.
Roadside assistance: jump-starts, flat-tire changes, lockouts and fuel drop-offs This suits people who are good with cars and don't mind being on call. When someone's stranded, you're the one who gets them moving again—and you earn well for showing up when it matters.
Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway If you take pride in a job well done and have an eye for detail, this work pays you to make vehicles look brand new. You bring the service to the customer, and they pay for quality.
You Keep What You Earn—Plus a Loyalty Bonus
On Lumo, there's no waiting around for a boss to notice your effort. You keep 90% of every job, and after you complete your first 100 jobs, you'll receive a loyalty bonus of 134,622 NGN (about $100 USD).
Jobs open as customers in Ibadan post them, so the sooner you're approved, the sooner you can start.
