Finding Work Shouldn't Be This Hard
If you're in Johannesburg right now, you know how tough the job market has become. You send out applications and hear nothing back. You have skills, experience, and a willingness to work hard—but opportunities feel out of reach. The truth is, the talents you already have are valuable, and they can start earning you money today.
Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with people in Johannesburg who need reliable help with everyday tasks. You're not waiting for someone to hire you. You choose the jobs you want, work the hours that suit your life, and finally get paid what your labor is actually worth.
Three Ways to Earn on Your Own Terms
Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors in Johannesburg, and you get to decide which type of work fits your schedule and strengths:
- Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter – If you have a vehicle or bicycle and know your way around the city, delivery work offers flexibility and steady earning potential. You accept the deliveries that make sense for you.
- Pet care: dog walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits – Love animals? Many Johannesburg pet owners need trustworthy people to walk their dogs, check in on pets during the day, or provide sitting services while they're away.
- Home cleaning: apartments, homes and move-out cleans – Cleaning work is always in demand. Whether it's regular apartment maintenance or deep move-out cleans, you bring your attention to detail and get paid fairly for it.
You're in control. Accept the jobs you want, decline the ones you don't.
