Kakamega: Turn Your Everyday Skills Into Real Income on Lumo
You Already Know How to Earn More
Finding decent work in Kakamega shouldn't mean settling for low pay or someone else's rigid schedule. The truth is, the skills you use every day—getting around town, solving problems, helping people out—are valuable. You just haven't had a fair way to get paid for them.
Lumo is building a marketplace where people in Kakamega post jobs they need done, and you decide which ones to accept. You set your hours around your life, keep 90% of every job, and get paid the same day. No uniforms, no bosses watching over your shoulder, just straightforward work that respects what your time is worth.
We're recruiting 300 contractors right now across Kakamega, and the first 100 who complete 100 jobs will earn a loyalty bonus of 12,995 KES (about $100 USD) on top of regular pay.
Three Ways to Earn on Lumo
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter Restaurants, shops, and neighbors need items moved quickly. If you have reliable transport and know the roads around Kakamega, you're already qualified. Accept the deliveries that work for your route and schedule.
Roadside assistance: jump-starts, flat-tire changes, lockouts and fuel drop-offs Drivers get stuck—dead batteries, flat tires, keys locked inside, running out of fuel. If you have basic tools and know how to help, these jobs pay well and don't take long. You choose which calls to respond to.
Errands: pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line and shopping trips Busy families, elderly neighbors, and working professionals need someone they can trust to pick up medicine, return items, stand in line at government offices, or handle shopping. If you're organized and dependable, this work suits you.
Keep What You Earn
You keep 90% of every job. Lumo pays out the same day, so you're never waiting on your money. No hidden fees, no surprises.
Work is hard to come by, and too many people are underpaid for what they can do. Lumo is changing that in Kakamega, one fair job at a time.
