Finding Good Work Shouldn't Be This Hard

If you live in Kampala, you already know how tough the job market can be right now. Too many people with real skills—driving, fixing things, running errands—are stuck in work that doesn't pay what they're worth. The truth is, the things you already know how to do have value, and neighbors all over the city need help with everyday tasks.

Lumo is a new marketplace connecting independent contractors with local customers who need reliable help. We're recruiting 300 contractors in Kampala right now, and if you sign up today, you'll be first in line when jobs start coming in. Plus, there's a loyalty bonus of 433,626 UGX (about $100 USD) waiting for you after you complete your first 100 jobs.

Three Types of Work, You Choose What Fits

When you join Lumo, you decide which jobs to accept. Here's what's available:

• Delivery: Transport food, groceries, and packages across Kampala by car, bike, or scooter. Perfect if you know the roads and have reliable transport.
• Handyman Repairs: Mount TVs, fix doors, patch walls, and handle small repairs around people's homes. Great for anyone with basic repair skills and a few tools.
• Laundry Pickup: Collect laundry from customers, wash and fold it, then return it to busy neighbors who need the help. Ideal if you're organized and dependable.

You're not locked into one type—accept the jobs that suit your schedule and skills.
