Kano: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid

The Job Search in Kano Is Exhausting—But Your Skills Already Have Value

If you've been searching for work in Kano, you know how difficult it is right now. Too many positions pay far less than the effort required, and too many employers control every hour of your day. But here's what often gets overlooked: the skills you already have—driving around the city, helping with roadside problems, doing yard work—are worth real money. You don't need another certificate or connection. You need a way to get paid fairly for what you can already do.

That's exactly what Lumo offers. We're building a marketplace where people across Kano post jobs they need done, and independent contractors like you choose which ones to accept. You set your hours, you keep 90% of what you earn on every job, and you get paid the same day. No waiting until month-end. No boss deciding your worth.

Three Types of Work, All Open to Kano Contractors

Lumo is currently recruiting 300 contractors in Kano. Here's the kind of work available:

• Delivery: Transport food, groceries, and packages across town by car, bike, or scooter. Perfect if you know the roads and have reliable transport. You choose which deliveries to accept.
• Roadside Assistance: Help stranded drivers with jump-starts, flat-tire changes, lockouts, and fuel drop-offs. Ideal for anyone with basic mechanical skills and the tools to help. You decide when you're available.
• Yard Work: Mowing, raking, hedge trimming, and garden clean-ups for homes and businesses. Great for those who don't mind physical work outdoors and take pride in a job well done.

Every job is up to you. Accept what fits your schedule and skills. Turn down what doesn't.
