London: Turn What You Already Do Into Real Income on Your Schedule
You Already Know How to Do Work That Pays
Finding decent work in London right now shouldn't be this hard. You've got skills—driving through Islington to Brixton, cleaning a home properly, sorting and folding laundry—but too many jobs underpay for what you actually bring. If you can navigate the Northern Line during rush hour or get a flat spotless before the next tenant moves in, that's worth real money.
Lumo is a marketplace that connects independent contractors with neighbors who need help. You choose the jobs that suit your schedule, keep 90% of every pound you earn, and get paid the same day. No waiting around, no taking whatever shift they give you.
Three Types of Work, All on Your Terms
Lumo is currently recruiting 300 contractors across London. Here's the work:
- Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter – If you know the quickest route from Camden to Shoreditch or can weave through traffic on two wheels, customers need you. Accept the deliveries that make sense for where you're already headed.
- Home cleaning: apartments, homes and move-out cleans – Proper cleaning takes skill and effort. Whether it's a weekly tidy in Hammersmith or a full move-out clean in Clapham, you decide which jobs to take and earn what the work deserves.
- Laundry pickup: collect, wash, fold and return laundry for busy neighbors – Plenty of Londoners are stretched too thin to keep up with laundry. You collect it, wash and fold it well, return it on time, and get paid fairly for each job.
You're in control. Accept the jobs you want, work the hours that suit your life, and keep nearly all of what you earn.
A Loyalty Bonus for Sticking With It
Complete your first 100 jobs and Lumo pays you a 75 GBP bonus (about $100 USD). It's recognition that good contractors matter, and it adds up on top of what you're already earning per job.
