Melbourne: Get Paid What You're Worth—The Same Day You Do the Work

Your Skills Are Worth More Than You Think

Finding decent work in Melbourne right now shouldn't be this hard. Whether you live in Brunswick, St Kilda, or out in Footscray, you already have skills that people need: you can drive across town, tidy up a garden, or make a car look brand new. The problem isn't your ability—it's that too many jobs underpay for what you can actually do.

Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with local customers who need help. You choose the jobs you want, set your own schedule, and keep 90% of what you earn. No waiting around for a paycheck—you get paid the same day you finish the work.

Three Ways to Earn on Your Own Terms

Lumo is looking for 300 contractors across Melbourne. Here's the kind of work available:

• Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter — If you've got reliable transport and know your way around the city, you can pick up delivery jobs on your schedule. Accept the ones that suit you, skip the rest.
• Yard work: mowing, raking, hedge trimming and garden clean-ups — Melbourne's yards need regular care, and plenty of residents would rather pay someone who knows what they're doing. If you're comfortable with outdoor work, this is steady income on your terms.
• Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway — Bring your supplies and your skills to wherever the car is parked. It's hands-on work that pays well when you do it right.

You're not locked into any of them. Browse what's available, accept the jobs that make sense, and leave the rest.

A Bonus for Getting Started

Right now, complete your first 100 jobs and you'll earn a 142 AUD loyalty bonus (about $100 USD) on top of what you've already made. It's Lumo's way of recognizing contractors who show up and do the work.

You set the hours. You choose the jobs. You get paid what your labor is actually worth—the same day you do it.
