Melbourne: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You Think—Start Earning Today

The Job Search Shouldn't Feel This Impossible

If you've been looking for work in Melbourne lately, you know how frustrating it is. Endless applications, low offers, shifts that don't fit your life. But here's what most people don't realize: the skills you already use every day—driving around the CBD, helping a mate set up their new TV, picking up groceries for a neighbor—are worth real money right now.

Lumo is a local jobs marketplace where Melbourne residents work as independent contractors doing the kind of help people actually need. You're not applying for a job. You're joining a platform where you choose which jobs to accept, set your own hours, and keep 90% of what you earn. Every job pays out the same day.

Three Ways to Start Earning This Week

Lumo is currently bringing on 300 contractors across Melbourne, and you don't need a résumé or an interview. Here's the work:

• Delivery: Drive, bike, or scooter food, groceries, and packages across Carlton, Fitzroy, St Kilda, and beyond. You decide which deliveries to take and when you're available.
• Tech help: Set up Wi-Fi routers, smart TVs, printers, phones, and other devices for people who'd rather pay someone who knows what they're doing. If you're the person your family calls when something won't connect, this is for you.
• Errands: Pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line, shopping trips—the tasks that eat up someone's day but take you an hour. Perfect if you're already out and about.

You're not locked into any of them. Accept the jobs that suit your schedule and skills.

You're in Control, and There's a Bonus

Complete your first 100 jobs on Lumo and you'll earn a 142 AUD loyalty bonus (about $100 USD) on top of what you've already made. That's Lumo's way of rewarding people who show up and do good work.

Melbourne locals are ready to pay fairly for help. Your time and effort are worth more than most employers want to admit. If you're tired of being underpaid or waiting for someone to call you back, this is how you start earning on your terms.
