Melbourne: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You Think – Start Earning Today
Finding Work Shouldn't Be This Hard
If you've been searching for work in Melbourne lately, you know how frustrating it can be. Applications disappear into the void, interviews lead nowhere, and too many jobs pay less than your time and effort are actually worth. But here's the thing: you already have skills that people need right now—and they're ready to pay for them.
Lumo is a marketplace that connects independent contractors with locals who need help with everyday tasks. Whether you're in Fitzroy, Carlton, St Kilda, or anywhere across Melbourne, you can turn the things you already know how to do into income on your own schedule.
Three Ways to Start Earning
Lumo is currently looking for 300 contractors across Melbourne. Here's the kind of work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you've got reliable transport and know your way around Melbourne, delivery work lets you earn while you move. You choose which jobs to accept, so you're always in control.
Errands: pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line and shopping trips People are busy, and they need someone dependable to handle the tasks that eat up their day. If you're organized and good with details, this work suits you. Again, you pick the jobs that fit your schedule.
Laundry pickup: collect, wash, fold and return laundry for busy neighbors It's straightforward work that busy professionals and families genuinely need. You collect, wash, fold, and return—and you decide which requests to take on.
You Keep What You Earn
On Lumo, you keep 90% of every job you complete, and you get paid the same day. No waiting weeks for a paycheck. You set your own hours, work as much or as little as you want, and finally earn what your labor is actually worth.
Plus, right now Lumo is offering a 142 AUD loyalty bonus (about $100 USD) after you complete your first 100 jobs. It's a thank-you for being part of the community from the start.
