Finding Good Work Shouldn't Be This Hard
If you're in Melbourne and tired of scrambling for shifts that pay too little or lock you into someone else's schedule, you're not alone. The skills you already have—driving across the city, detailing cars to shine, cleaning a home top to bottom—are worth real money. Lumo is a new marketplace where you set your own hours, keep 90% of what you earn on every job, and get paid the same day. No boss, no waitlists, no guessing what you'll take home.
Right now, Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors across Melbourne. Jobs open as local customers post them, so signing up now means you're first in line when demand picks up. Whether you live in the CBD, out in the suburbs, or anywhere in between, the work comes to you—and you choose which jobs to accept.
Three Job Types, One Platform
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you've got reliable transport and know your way around Melbourne, delivery work suits you. Accept the jobs that make sense for your route and schedule, keep most of what you earn, and move on to the next one.
Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway You bring the buckets, polish and elbow grease; the customer provides the driveway. It's straightforward work that pays well when you do it right, and you decide how many jobs to take each week.
Home cleaning: apartments, homes and move-out cleans People need help keeping their spaces livable, especially during moves or busy seasons. If you're thorough and reliable, cleaning jobs can fill your calendar—and you control when and where you work.
The Loyalty Bonus: 142 AUD
Lumo rewards contractors who stick around and do great work. Complete your first 100 jobs and you'll earn a 142 AUD loyalty bonus (about $100 USD) on top of your regular pay. It's our way of saying thanks for being part of the community.
