Mogadishu: Get Paid What You're Worth, Same Day You Work
Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid
Finding good work in Mogadishu shouldn't mean settling for less than your labor is worth. Whether you're navigating the streets of Hamar Weyne, making deliveries through Shangani, or serving clients in Hodan, you already have skills that people need—and those skills deserve fair pay. Too many workers across our city put in long hours but take home wages that don't reflect the effort they give.
Lumo is a new kind of marketplace where you control your earning power. You choose which jobs to accept, set your own hours, keep 90% of every job you complete, and get paid the same day you finish the work. No waiting weeks for a paycheck. No being undervalued. Just honest pay for honest work.
Three Ways to Earn on Your Own Terms
Lumo is recruiting 300 independent contractors in Mogadishu right now. Here's the work available as jobs are posted by local customers:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you have reliable transportation and know the city well, delivery work lets you earn while moving. You decide which delivery requests to accept based on distance, timing, and pay.
Laundry pickup: collect, wash, fold and return laundry for busy neighbors Perfect if you're detail-oriented and have space to work. You pick up laundry from customers, wash and fold it carefully, then return it clean. Choose the clients and schedule that work for you.
Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway If you're good with your hands and take pride in thorough work, mobile detailing brings the job to you. Customers appreciate quality cleaning without leaving home, and you keep most of what you earn.
