Mogadishu: Get Paid What You're Worth — Same Day, Every Day

Finding Fair Work in Mogadishu Shouldn't Be This Hard

Too many skilled people in Mogadishu are working long hours for less than their labor is worth. If you can drive a car, navigate the city on a bike or scooter, or wash and detail vehicles, you already have skills that neighbors need every single day. The problem isn't your ability — it's finding work that pays you fairly and respects your time.

Lumo is a new kind of marketplace connecting you directly with people in Mogadishu who need help. You set your own schedule, accept only the jobs you want, and keep 90% of every shilling you earn. Most importantly: you get paid the same day you complete the work. No waiting weeks for a paycheck. No wondering if you'll actually see the money you earned.

Three Ways to Earn on Your Own Terms

Lumo is currently recruiting 300 independent contractors across Mogadishu. Here's the work available:

• Delivery: Transport food, groceries, and packages across the city by car, bike, or scooter. Perfect if you know Mogadishu's streets well and want flexible hours between other commitments.
• Rides: Drive neighbors to work, medical appointments, and the airport. Ideal for anyone with a reliable vehicle who enjoys meeting people and values independence.
• Mobile car detailing: Wash and detail cars right in customers' driveways. Great for detail-oriented workers who take pride in quality results and want to build regular clients.

You choose which jobs to accept. Every single one. No pressure, no quotas.

Your Skills Deserve Real Pay

As a Lumo contractor, you're not an employee — you're running your own service. That means the pricing reflects the true value of your work, and you take home 90% of it. When you complete a job, the money hits your account the same day.

Sign up now and you'll earn a loyalty bonus of 57,146 SOS (about $100 USD) after you complete your first 100 jobs. There are 100 bonus spots available for early contractors in Mogadishu.
