Mumbai: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid
The Job Hunt Doesn't Have to Mean Starting Over
If you've been looking for work in Mumbai, you know how exhausting it can be. Long commutes across the city, employers offering less than your time is worth, and schedules that don't fit your life. But here's what most people don't realize: the skills you already use every day—navigating Mumbai's streets, putting things together, solving tech problems—can start earning you money right now.
Lumo is a marketplace where you set your own hours, choose the jobs you want, and keep 90% of what you earn. No boss, no fixed schedule, just work that respects what your labor is actually worth.
Three Ways to Start Earning in Mumbai
Lumo is currently recruiting 300 independent contractors across Mumbai. Here's the kind of work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you know how to get from Bandra to Andheri without hitting traffic, or can navigate the lanes of Dadar, delivery work lets you turn that knowledge into income. You choose which delivery jobs to accept, work when it suits you, and get paid the same day.
Furniture assembly: putting together beds, desks, shelves and flat-pack furniture People across Mumbai need help assembling everything from IKEA wardrobes to office furniture. If you're good with tools and instructions, this work is straightforward and pays well. Accept the jobs that fit your schedule.
Tech help: setting up Wi-Fi, TVs, printers and phones Neighbors and businesses constantly need someone who can set up a router, connect a smart TV, or troubleshoot a printer. If tech comes naturally to you, these jobs are quick, appreciated, and you decide which ones to take.
You're in Control
On Lumo, you're not an employee—you're an independent contractor. That means:
- You choose which jobs to accept
- You set your own hours around your life
- You keep 90% of every job you complete
- You get paid the same day, every time
Plus, complete your first 100 jobs and you'll earn a loyalty bonus of 9,505 INR (about $100 USD).
