Nairobi: Keep 90% of What You Earn – Your Skills Are Worth More
You're Worth More Than You're Being Paid
Finding decent work in Nairobi right now feels like an uphill battle. Too many people with real skills—drivers who know every shortcut from Westlands to Kilimani, handymen who can fix anything, reliable people who get things done—are working long hours for far less than their labor is worth.
Here's what's different about Lumo: you keep 90% of what the customer pays. Not half. Not 70%. Ninety percent. You set your own hours, choose which jobs to accept, and get paid the same day. No waiting weeks for your money. No wondering why your share is so small.
Lumo is recruiting 300 independent contractors across Nairobi right now. Jobs open as neighbors and businesses post them, and you'll finally earn what you deserve.
Three Ways to Work on Lumo
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you have a vehicle and know Nairobi's roads—from Parklands to South C to Embakasi—delivery work lets you move at your own pace. Accept the deliveries that make sense for your schedule and route. Every trip you complete pays you directly.
Errands: pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line and shopping trips People need help with everyday tasks: picking up prescriptions, handling returns, standing in queues, shopping trips. If you're organized and dependable, errand work suits you. Choose jobs that fit your day.
Handyman repairs: mounting TVs, fixing doors, patching walls and small repairs Can you mount a TV, repair a squeaky door, or patch a wall? Homes and offices across Nairobi need small fixes done right. You accept only the jobs you're confident handling.
A Bonus That Rewards Loyalty
Complete your first 100 jobs and Lumo pays you a 12,987 KES bonus (about $100 USD). It's our way of recognizing contractors who show up and do the work.
