Nairobi: Turn Your Skills Into Real Income on Lumo

Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid

Finding reliable work in Nairobi right now shouldn't be this hard. You already know how to deliver packages, fix things around the house, or help someone set up their phone—skills people need every single day across Westlands, Karen, and Kilimani. The problem isn't what you can do. It's finding work that respects your time and pays you what you're actually worth.

Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with people who need local help. You choose the jobs, set your own schedule, and keep 90% of what you earn. No boss, no fixed shifts—just fair pay for honest work, deposited the same day.

Three Ways to Earn on Lumo

Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors in Nairobi right now. Here's the kind of work available:

• Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter – Pick up and drop off on your own route and timeline. Perfect if you know the city and want flexibility between other commitments.
• Tech help: setting up Wi-Fi, TVs, printers and phones – If you're the person friends call when their internet goes down, this is for you. Help neighbors get their devices working without the runaround.
• Handyman repairs: mounting TVs, fixing doors, patching walls and small repairs – Small jobs that don't need a full contractor. Use the tools you already own and the skills you've always had.

You're not locked into one type of work. Accept the jobs that fit your day.

A Loyalty Bonus That Rewards Consistency

Complete your first 100 jobs on Lumo and you'll earn a loyalty bonus of 12,991 KES (about $100 USD). It's our way of recognizing contractors who show up and do good work.

You Deserve to Be Paid Fairly

No one should have to settle for low pay or long waits to get their money. On Lumo, you earn what your labor is worth, and you're in control.
