Nairobi: Keep 90% of What You Earn on Every Job
You're Worth More Than You're Being Paid
If you've been driving, lifting, fixing, or helping people across Nairobi and feel like you're not earning what your work is actually worth, you're not alone. Good opportunities are scarce right now, and too many platforms take massive cuts from the people doing the actual work.
Lumo is different. We're building a marketplace where you keep 90% of what the customer pays—not 60%, not 70%, but 90%. You get paid the same day, you choose which jobs to accept, and you set your own schedule. Whether you live in Westlands, Kibera, Karen, Eastleigh, or anywhere across Nairobi, if you have skills people need, you can start earning what you're actually worth.
Three Types of Work Now Open in Nairobi
Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors across the city. Here's the work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you have a reliable vehicle and know Nairobi's roads, you can accept delivery jobs on your own time. You choose which deliveries to take, and customers pay you directly for getting their order where it needs to go.
Moving help: loading trucks, carrying furniture and small moves People are always relocating across Nairobi, and they need strong, reliable help. If you're good with your hands and don't mind physical work, moving jobs pay well and you decide which ones fit your day.
Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway Nairobis want their cars clean, but they don't want the hassle of going to a wash bay. If you can bring quality car care to someone's home or office, this work suits you.
Loyalty Bonus: 12,987 KES After Your First 100 Jobs
When you complete your first 100 jobs on Lumo, you'll receive a loyalty bonus of 12,987 KES (about $100 USD). It's our way of rewarding contractors who show up and do great work.
