Port Harcourt: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid
The Job Search Doesn't Have to Be This Frustrating
If you've been looking for work in Port Harcourt lately, you already know how tough it is. Too many positions pay far less than the effort they demand, and too many employers expect you to work their hours for their terms. But here's what most people don't realize: the skills you already have—driving across town, putting furniture together, caring for animals—are worth real money right now.
Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with people in Port Harcourt who need help with everyday tasks. You're not applying for a traditional job. You're signing up to offer services you already know how to do, on the days and times that work for you.
Three Ways to Start Earning
Lumo is currently looking for 300 contractors in Port Harcourt. Here's the kind of work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you have reliable transportation and know your way around the city, delivery work lets you earn while you drive. You choose which delivery requests to accept based on distance, timing, and pay.
Furniture assembly: putting together beds, desks, shelves and flat-pack furniture Many residents need help assembling the furniture they buy. If you're handy with tools and can follow instructions, this work suits you. Jobs are straightforward, and you decide which ones fit your schedule.
Pet care: dog walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits Pet owners across Port Harcourt need trustworthy people to walk their dogs or check in on their animals during the day. If you're comfortable with pets, this is flexible work that pays well.
