Port Harcourt: Your Skills Are Worth Real Money—Start Earning on Lumo Today
The Job Search Struggle Is Real
If you're in Port Harcourt right now, you know how tough the job market can be. You send applications, wait for callbacks, and too often the pay doesn't match the effort or skills you bring. But here's something worth knowing: the abilities you already have—driving across town, running errands for busy families, helping someone set up their router—are valuable, and people need that help every single day.
Lumo is a marketplace connecting Port Harcourt residents who need local jobs done with independent contractors who choose their own hours and keep 90% of what they earn. You're not applying for a traditional job—you're joining a platform where you decide which gigs to accept, when to work, and how much your time is worth.
Three Ways to Earn in Port Harcourt
Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors right now, and jobs open as customers in your city post them. Here's the kind of work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you've got reliable transportation and know your way around Port Harcourt—whether it's Rumuola, Old GRA, or Trans Amadi—delivery work lets you earn while you move. You choose which deliveries to take and when.
Errands: pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line and shopping trips People need help with everyday tasks: picking up medications, handling returns, standing in for them at the bank or market. It's straightforward work that fits anyone who's organized and dependable.
Tech help: setting up Wi-Fi, TVs, printers and phones If you're the person friends call when their internet acts up or they can't connect a device, that's a skill people will pay for. Tech help jobs are often quick and pay well for your knowledge.
