Pretoria: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid
The Job Search Doesn't Have to Be This Frustrating
If you've been looking for work in Pretoria lately, you know how tough it is. You send out applications, hear nothing back, or get offered wages that don't match the effort. Meanwhile, you already have skills that people need right now: you can drive across town, you know how to get laundry spotless, or you're good at making a car shine.
Those skills are worth real money. The problem isn't you—it's a system that undervalues what you can do. Lumo is built differently: it's a marketplace where you use the abilities you already have to take local jobs, set your own schedule, and keep 90% of what you earn. You get paid the same day, every time.
Three Ways to Start Earning in Pretoria
Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors right now, and jobs open as neighbours and businesses across the city post them. Here's the kind of work available:
- Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter – Pick up and drop off orders around Pretoria, from Hatfield to Brooklyn, Centurion to Menlyn. Perfect if you have reliable transport and know the roads.
- Laundry pickup: collect, wash, fold and return laundry for busy neighbors – Help people who don't have time (or a working machine). You collect, clean, and deliver back. Suits anyone with access to laundry facilities and an eye for detail.
- Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway – Bring the car wash to them. If you're thorough and take pride in a job well done, this work fits you.
You choose which jobs to accept. No one forces you to take work that doesn't suit your schedule or location.
Earn What Your Work Is Actually Worth
Right now, the first 100 people to complete 100 jobs earn a loyalty bonus of 1,650 ZAR (about $100 USD) on top of regular pay. You set your hours, you keep almost everything you make, and you finally get paid fairly for the effort you put in.
Apply on Lumo today and start turning your skills into income.
