Pretoria: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You Think—Start Earning Today

The Job Hunt Doesn't Have to Be This Frustrating

If you've been searching for work in Pretoria, you already know how tough it is right now. Too many positions pay too little, demand rigid schedules, and don't value what you actually bring to the table. But here's what most people don't realize: the skills you already use every day—driving across town, putting furniture together, helping neighbors with errands—are worth real money, right now.

Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with people who need local help. You choose the jobs you want, set your own hours, and keep 90% of what you earn. No boss, no fixed shift, no waiting two weeks to get paid. You get paid the same day you complete the work.

Three Ways to Start Earning in Pretoria

Lumo is currently recruiting 300 contractors across Pretoria, and jobs open as soon as local customers post them. Here's the kind of work available:

Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you've got reliable transport and know your way around Pretoria, delivery work lets you earn on your own time. You see the job details upfront and decide which deliveries to accept. Whether you're covering Arcadia, Hatfield, or anywhere in between, you control your route and your day.

Furniture assembly: putting together beds, desks, shelves and flat-pack furniture Good with tools and instructions? Furniture assembly pays well because it saves people hours of frustration. You accept the jobs that fit your schedule, show up, do the work, and get paid.

Errands: pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line and shopping trips Sometimes people just need an extra pair of hands—someone to pick up a prescription, return a package, or handle a shopping trip. If you're organized and dependable, errand work is straightforward and flexible.

You Decide What Your Time Is Worth

Too many people in Pretoria are underpaid for what they can do. On Lumo, your labor is valued fairly. You're not filling someone else's schedule—you're building your own income around your life.

Right now, the first 100 contractors who complete 100 jobs will earn a loyalty bonus of 1,660 ZAR (about $100 USD) on top of their regular pay.
