Queens: Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid
The Job Search Is Exhausting—But You Already Have What It Takes
If you've been looking for work in Queens lately, you know how frustrating it is. Applications disappear into the void, wages don't match the cost of living, and schedules get dictated by someone else. Whether you're in Astoria, Flushing, Forest Hills, or anywhere across the borough, you deserve better than what's out there right now.
Here's what most job listings won't tell you: the skills you already use every day—driving around LIC, keeping your home organized, helping a neighbor fix their printer—are worth real money. You don't need a new certification or a resume overhaul. You need a platform that respects your time and pays you what your labor is actually worth.
That's what Lumo does.
Three Ways to Start Earning in Queens
Lumo is a marketplace where people in your neighborhood post jobs, and you decide which ones to accept. You set your hours, you keep 90% of what you earn, and you get paid the same day. Here's the kind of work available:
- Delivery: Drive, bike, or scoot food, groceries, and packages across Queens. Perfect if you know the streets and want flexibility.
- Laundry pickup: Pick up laundry from busy neighbors, wash and fold it, then return it. Suits anyone detail-oriented who doesn't mind the work.
- Tech help: Set up Wi-Fi routers, mount TVs, connect printers, troubleshoot phones. If you're the person friends call when their tech acts up, this is for you.
Every job is something people actually need, and you choose what fits your day.
You Keep What You Earn—Plus a Loyalty Bonus
Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors in Queens right now. Complete your first 100 jobs and you'll earn a $100 USD loyalty bonus on top of what you've already made. Jobs open as customers post them, so the sooner you're signed up, the sooner you're ready.
You're not looking for a favor. You're looking for fair pay and control over your time. Apply on Lumo today and start turning what you already know how to do into money that hits your account the same day.
