Your Skills Are Worth More Than You're Being Paid

Finding decent work in Soweto right now is harder than it should be. Too many of us are skilled, reliable, and ready to work—but the opportunities just aren't there, or the pay doesn't match the effort. If you can drive, care for animals, or help neighbors with errands, you already have what it takes to earn real money on your own schedule.

Lumo is a new marketplace connecting independent contractors with local customers who need help. We're recruiting 300 contractors in Soweto right now, and we want you to be first in line when jobs start coming in.

Three Ways to Earn on Lumo

You choose the jobs that suit your skills, your schedule, and your life. Here's what's available:

• Delivery: Transport food, groceries, and packages across Soweto by car, bike, or scooter. Whether you're moving between Orlando, Diepkloof, or anywhere else in the township, you decide which deliveries to accept and when to work.
• Pet Care: Dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in visits for families who need trustworthy help while they're at work or away. If you love animals and have a flexible schedule, this work suits you.
• Errands: Pharmacy runs, returns, waiting in line, shopping trips—everyday tasks that busy neighbours need done. You pick up the jobs that fit your day.

Every job type lets you accept or decline as you see fit. You're in control.
