Soweto: Get Paid What You're Worth – Same Day, Every Day

Finding Fair Pay Shouldn't Be This Hard

If you live in Soweto, you already know: good work that pays what you're actually worth is hard to come by. Too many jobs expect long hours, rigid schedules, and leave you waiting weeks for a paycheque that doesn't match the effort you put in. But the skills you already have – driving across town, helping someone set up their phone, or getting a stranded motorist back on the road – are valuable. It's time you were paid like it.

Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors in Soweto with people who need local help. You choose the jobs you want, work when it suits you, and keep 90% of every rand you earn. No waiting for payday: you get paid the same day you complete the work.

Three Ways to Earn on Your Terms

Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors right now, and jobs open as customers post them. Here's the kind of work available:

• Delivery: Transport food, groceries, and packages across Soweto by car, bike, or scooter. Perfect if you know the roads and want flexible hours – you decide which deliveries to accept.
• Tech help: Set up Wi-Fi routers, connect TVs and printers, troubleshoot phones. If you're the one your family calls when something won't work, this is for you. Choose the jobs that match your skills.
• Roadside assistance: Jump-start a dead battery, change a flat tire, help with lockouts, or deliver emergency fuel. Ideal if you're handy and want to help stranded drivers get moving again – accept the calls that work for your day.

Every job is something you already know how to do. You're not starting from scratch; you're finally getting paid properly for what you can offer.

A Loyalty Bonus Worth Showing Up For

Complete your first 100 jobs and Lumo pays you a 1,667 ZAR (about $100 USD) loyalty bonus. It's straightforward: do the work, earn the bonus, keep building from there.

You Decide What Your Time Is Worth

No one else is going to hand you fair pay. Lumo gives you the platform; you bring the effort. Set your own hours, work close to home, and get paid the same day. If you're ready to earn what your labor is actually worth, apply on Lumo today and start on your terms.
