Sydney: Turn Your Everyday Skills Into Real Income on Your Schedule
The skills you have are worth more than you're being paid
Finding good work in Sydney right now shouldn't be this hard. Whether you're between jobs, looking for something that fits around your life, or just tired of being underpaid for what you can do, you're not alone. The truth is, you already have skills that people need every single day—and on Lumo, you can finally earn what those skills are actually worth.
Lumo is a marketplace connecting independent contractors with local jobs across Sydney. You set your own hours, choose which jobs to accept, keep 90% of what you earn, and get paid the same day. No fixed shifts, no commute to someone else's schedule. Just real work that respects your time and pays fairly.
Three ways to earn in Sydney
Lumo is recruiting 300 contractors right now, and jobs open as customers in your area post them. Here's the kind of work available:
Delivery: food, groceries and packages across town by car, bike or scooter If you know your way around Sydney—from Bondi to Parramatta to the Inner West—and have reliable transport, delivery work lets you earn on your own time. Accept the jobs that make sense for your day.
Mobile car detailing: washing and detailing cars right in the customer's driveway Good with a hose, a vacuum, and an eye for detail? Sydneysiders are busy, and they'll pay well for someone who can make their car look sharp without them leaving home. You bring the gear, they provide the driveway.
Roadside assistance: jump-starts, flat-tire changes, lockouts and fuel drop-offs If you're handy and know your way around a car, roadside work is steady and appreciated. People break down, keys get locked inside, batteries die—it happens every day, and you're the one who shows up to help.
You're also earning a loyalty bonus
Complete your first 100 jobs and Lumo pays you a 143 AUD (about $100 USD) bonus. It's our way of saying thanks for sticking with it.
